My photography is more than a profession, it is an inheritance. I realize now that it is a calling that has traveled quietly through time, waiting to be embraced. Through my lens, I honor connection, story, and soul, ensuring that every person is seen, celebrated, and uplifted. This dream becomes a venture of legacy. It transforms lives through storytelling while preserving the richness of who we are, and reminding us all that our presence matters.

Photography entered my life not as a fleeting curiosity, but as a seed planted generations before me. In the spring of 1999, I picked up my first film camera, eager but uncertain. I shared my early attempts with my grandfather, my mother’s father. He teased me at first, but then something remarkable happened. He retrieved his own camera gear and invited me into his world. Together, we loaded film, took photos, and developed prints. What began as a simple act of shared curiosity became a tether between us, linking our stories through light and shadow.

Decades later, I hold his camera in my hands, knowing that every frame I capture is a bridge between past and present. When my mother said, "He would’ve been so proud of you," I understood that my work was never just my own. It was an echo of a dream that had quietly spanned generations. Photography is not just my career—it is my inheritance. It is my way of saying yes to the future, to the courage my grandfather never had the chance to claim for himself.

In May of 2023, I stood at a crossroads. After a decade immersed in the practical world of aircraft maintenance, an ache of disconnection led me back to my camera. What began as a personal reawakening unfolded into something greater—a calling. I rediscovered the profound power of photography. It has a curious ability to connect, uplift, and give voice to the stories that shape us. Every image I create is a testament to presence, a quiet affirmation that every person deserves to be seen.

My journey was marked by moments, thresholds crossed with heart in hand. On a humble porch where time slowed, I captured The Listening Chairs (the title image, featured above). This photograph stands as a symbol of the stories we carry within us. A friend’s cherished memory of time spent with her grandmother sparked its creation. This moment reinforced my belief that photography was never meant to be a mere hobby. It was meant to be a vessel for connection and an invitation to witness fully.

From that quiet porch, I followed a winding path through the woods, a place I now call The Threshold of Wonder. In the wake of loss, after a job disappeared mere months after moving states with my wife, I found solace in the uncertain beauty of that wooded trail. As light danced through the trees, it illuminated not just the shifting path but my own resilience. I learned then that when we dare to follow the light, new possibilities emerge.

Later, another quiet revelation came on an ordinary sidewalk, a moment framed in light and shadow. A lone figure strode forward with quiet defiance, a presence claimed even in the midst of routine. On a day meant for celebration, such as my wife’s birthday, I felt a subtle disconnect. Yet, with my camera in hand, I captured that determination, that movement forward. The image became a whisper of resilience, a reminder that every step forward—however small—is a victory.

These photographs are not just images. They are markers of transformation, milestones of a journey shaped by courage, loss, and renewal. They remind me that the call to listen, the choice to step forward, and the willingness to embrace imperfection are all part of the human experience. This business, this venture of heart and story, is born from lived moments, reflections of a dream that has traveled through the generations.
